Tricia Tyler, Soprano

Tricia has sung with The Boston Cecilia, one of the premier Boston-based large choruses, for many years. Tricia runs a staff development program for the Lahey Clinic, and lives in Newton.

Kim Petot, Soprano

By day Kim teaches at the All Newton Music School in Newton, MA. Her own musical outlets include her church choir and singing and arranging for the Silk Tones. Kim lives in Natick.

Anna Allen, Alto

Anna has been singing since childhood in a variety of religious and secular choral ensembles ranging from the Meistersingers in college to directing Orthodox Christian choirs in Arabic, Greek, Slavonic, and English. In addition to her current work with the Silk Tones, Anna often conducts her church choir, and sings with In Choro Novo. Anna lives in Sudbury MA.

Sunada Takagi, Alto

Sunada is a lifelong music addict, having started singing in choirs and playing the piano in grade school. Along the way, she sang in her college a cappella group, the Smiffenpoofs, studied classical piano, and more recently sang with In Choro Novo. Sunada is an ordained member of the Western Buddhist Order, and by day is a Life Coach and teaches online for the Buddhist-based business, Wildmind. She lives in Cambridge MA.

Jim Doyle, Tenor

Jim has sung with the Holy Cross College Glee Club and under John Oliver with the MIT Chorus. He has just recently returned to ensemble singing. Jim is a high-tech sales operations manager for Network Information Systems and lives in Framingham MA.

John Whitlock, Bass

John has sung in traditional choruses since college days, beginning with the Harvard Glee Club, and later with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, the Cambridge Society for Early Music, and other choruses in greater Boston. For many years now, he has sung with The Boston Cecilia, one of the premier Boston-based large choruses. The Silk Tones provide an outlet for John to do some lighter, fun music in a small group. John is a partner with the law firm Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge in Boston, and lives in Needham MA.

Dan Abushanab, Bass

Dan has been singing since 1990, when he started looking for a new diversion to balance the hectic life of a Cal Berkeley graduate student. He has sung with In Choro Novo and the Highland Glee Club in the Boston area. Dan manages IT at Art Technology Group, and lives in Framingham MA.
